The key differences I have noticed so far are - no way to review the history of activities in the unit and the gradient% goes down to 1 decimal place which means a bit of jumping around with minimal data smoothing. This unit connects to my existing Garmin mount, cadence/speed sensor and HRM. I did notice a stray 90+km/h value, which is definitely not correct! I used it back to back against the Edge 500 and the data is not identical but seems close enough for me on all key parameters (cadence, distance, speed, HR). ![]() So I decided to give this GPS a go and after 1 ride I am satisfied of its performance. I do not need the bells and whistles of an Edge 520 so decided to try to save £100+. ![]() My Garmin Edge 500 battery seems to be beginning to die after a few years. Worthy replacement for my Garmin Edge 500
